Appraisal Skills
Introduction
Investing time and money in developing and training in Appraisals systems can be linked to improved profit and / or individual workplace performance.
Carried out effectively it can be a positive experience for all parties. Carried out badly it can have a long-term negative effect on relationships. It is about working with people to help them maximise their full potential.
Format
Training will be held in a relaxed, friendly environment, which is conducive to the learning process. Delegates will be actively encouraged to take part in every aspect. The whole period will be highly participative with formal trainer input being complemented by exercises, discussions and regular feedback sessions.
Delegates will need to log the main learning points as the course progresses. This will ensure that not only workshop objectives are being met, but help delegates develop appropriate workplace action plans.

The aim of the workshop is to help key individuals within any organisation to develop necessary people skills to successfully praise performance in the workplace

• Analyse performance and plan an appraisal interview
• Manage the appraisal process with ease and due regard to maximising potential
• Carry out an effective appraisal meeting
• Deal with potential conflict / difficult situations and demonstrate appropriate behaviour
• Gain commitment from individuals leading to improved performance in the workplace
• Develop and apply personal workplace action plans for improvement
