Assertiveness Skills
Introduction
This one day practical workshop is aimed at helping delegates to recognise their own behaviour and how to use their behaviour in a positive and more effective way. Various methods will be used to assist delegates in recognising why their current behaviour could be more successful and the workshop will give practical advice on how to use assertiveness effectively.
Format
Training will be held in a relaxed, friendly environment, which is conducive to the learning process. Delegates will be actively encouraged to take part in every aspect. The whole period will be highly participative with formal trainer input being complemented by exercises, discussions and regular feedback sessions.
Delegates will need to log the main learning points as the course progresses. This will enable them to not only ensure that objectives are being met, but help in the formulation of workplace action plans.
Aim
This workshop aims to encourage delegates to be more open, honest and direct in their communication / behaviour and to avoid the frustration, anger and resentment sometimes seen in working relationships.
