Introduction:
The ILM Level 7 Diploma in Leadership Mentoring and Executive Coaching is designed for those people working to meet the need for effective leadership in organisations. It is widely recognised that leadership comes through personal development and growth, the acquisiton of a range of critical leadership skills, and an insight into other people and oneself.
Mentoring and coaching can be powerful tools for developing this leadership capability but only if the mentors and coaches possess the high-level knowledge, skills and personal qualities required to operate at this level. Leadership developers, consultants and senior executives who have completed this programme will be better able to act as mentors and executive coaches for senior managers and others wishing to become more effective leaders.
Suitable for:
The ILM Coaching and Mentoring programmes are for anyone who is involved in using these skills to enhance performance in the workplace. The qualifications provide the key knowledge and understanding, with an opportunity to develop the practical skills within the workplace.
Entry Requirements:
• Candidates will be practising managers, HRD professionals or consultants, with several years' experience and appropriate training and qualifications, such as the ILM Level 5 qualifications in Management, the ILM Level 5 Diploma in Management Coaching and Mentoring, or other qualifications in management, HRD or consultancy.
Cost:
£950 + vat
(costs are inclusive of awarding body registration, assessment and certification)
Duration:
Minimum of 45 guided learning hours, excluding assessment, plus 12 hours of practical coaching activity, to be completed normally within one year, or up to a maximum of 2 years
Structure and Content:
• A short induction lasting 1 hour
• Minimum 2 hours' tutorial guidance, plus
• One 30-hour module, plus
• 12 hours of practical coaching/mentoring in the workplace.
Assessment:
A Work-based Assignment, based on the first Module and a reflective Coaching Diary based on the second Module
Progression:
ILM Level 7 (new NQF) Introductory Executive Diploma or Executive Diploma in Management, or professional qualification in HRD.
