ILM Introduction to Business Improvement

Level:
Levels 2

Introduction:
The range of qualifications also available for team leaders at level 2 provides infinitely flexible support, and can provide the foundation for a team leader's formal development. These provide for either a short Introductory programme outlining the essentials of Team leading, or a series of sharply focused modules that can be taken individually to meet specific needs, or accumulated into a fully comprehensive Certificate in Team Leading. This single-unit qualification unit is designed to take the aspiring or new team leader or first line manager through a course of development that will enable them to employ business improvement techniques in their workplace and further enhance the essential qualities they need to be an effective team leader.

Objectives and Aims:
Some of the content is common to segments of the ILM Level 2 Team Leading qualifications - offering maximum transferability for those learners wishing to continue their studies at this level. This short qualification offers participants the opportunity to select and apply two from a range of business improvement techniques, including Lean Process Improvement, Visual Management, Kaizen, Six Sigma, Quality Circles, Quality Improvement Groups, Benchmarking and Problem Solving. The Business Improvement Assessment is designed to bring measurable business benefits, through the use of a range of tools for business improvement.
